Mr. Bernie Donell (Donnie) Hicks, 64. of Hillsville, passed away Thursday June 10, 2010 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Home in Stuart. Mr. Hicks was born December 1, 1945, in Carroll County, VA. to the late Bernie and Dorothy Vaughn Hicks, he was last employed as a salesperson for Hicks Ford Motor Company. Surviving are one sister Pamela Reece of Cary, NC., one niece, one nephew and several cousins. Graveside services will be held Saturday June 12, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with services conducted by Rev. David Sechrist. There will be no formal visitation.
