Eunice B. Horton, 74, of Fancy Gap, passed away Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Horton was born in Carroll County to the late Henry and Clyde Gardner Barr. She is survived by her husband, Olin Horton of the home; sisters, Elizabeth Barr Hawkins of Spencer, NC, Genola Barr Stuart of Mechanicsville, Joyce Barr Fisher of Fancy Gap, brothers, William Barr of Hillsville, James Lester Barr of Louisa, Clifton Barr of Fancy Gap, Roger Barr of Fancy Gap; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 5, 2009 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Duane Steele officiating. Burial followed in the Quesinberry and Bobbitt Cemetery.
