Edward Gwyn Young, 69, of Galax, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Twin County Regional Hospital. He was born, June 8, 1940 in Fries to the late Ed and Helen Young. He is survived by his son, Winifred C. Brown, of Galax; brothers, Clarence Young, of Galax, Ellis Ray Young of Princeton, WVA; sisters, Katherine Richardson of Galax, Shirley Cook of Wytheville, Wanda Early of Princeton, WVA, Bernice Alice of High Point, NC; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held Sunday, July 26, 2009 in the Twin County Funerals Sanctuary at 11:00 a.m. with the Dr. Barry Early and Rev. Bonnell Young officiating.
