Hassell G. (Jack) Nester, 75, of Elk Creek, passed away on Friday, Mar. 06, 2009 at Grayson Nursing & Rehab Center. Mr. Nester was born in Carroll County to the late Harden and Lettie Nester. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Nester; a daughter, Sandra Lineberry; brothers; and sisters. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Randy Delp of Elk Creek, Janet and David Nester of Laurel Fork, Nancy and Jimmy Wiles of Hillsville and Anita Zehnder of Stuart; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Wanda Nester and Donald and Missy Nester all of Laurel Fork; son-in-law, Joe Lineberry; sister, Edna Mae Riddle of Martinsville; brother, Junior Nester of Hillsville; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A graveside service with burial following was held on Sunday, Mar. 8, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Crooked Oak Cemetery. Military Rites were conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115.
