Hazel Elizabeth Valentine, 81, of Fontana, CA, passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2009 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA. She was born Aug. 7, 1927 in North Carolina to Connie and Lydia Thompson. She was the widow of James E. Valentine. Mrs. Valentine is survived by her daughters, Lydia Valentine of Fontana, CA, and Mary Valentine of Nevada; sister, Rosetta Humphrey of Chicago, IL; brothers, Alfred Thompson of North Wilkesboro, NC and Luther Thompson of Elkin, NC; two Grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The funeral service was held Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009 at the Faith Tabernacle at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ethelene Bryan, Mable Bryson and Evangelist Helen Brown officiating.
