Boyd Irvin Lowe age 87 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 in the Blue Ridge Nursing & Rehab Center/ Golden Living. Mr. Lowe was born in Carroll County, Virginia on August 3, 1924 to Grover Cleveland and Della Cox Lowe. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Ronald Boyd Lowe; sisters Gladys Lowe Hawks and Lola Lowe South; brother Howard Lowe. He is survived by his wife Ina Carico Lowe of Galax, Virginia; sisters-in-law and husband Hazel Lowe, Shirley C. Dezern; Mary C. and Joe Edwards all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Bob Adams officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
