A spokesperson for Galax Police Chief Rick Clark said that teens Gabriella Faith Davis and Emma Lee Padgett have been located safely and the adult they were with is in custody.

Catheryn Denise Miller, 20 was wanted by Galax Police for a robbery that occurred in the same apartment complex in the City of Galax and was discovered during the investigation of the missing teens.

Information developed by Galax Police lead officers to Bluefield, VA. Galax Police and Bluefield Virginia Police took Miller into custody today at around 4 PM in a McDonald’s parking lot. She was transported to the Tazewell County Sheriff’s office and is being held without bail. She is charged with Extortion, Assault and Destruction of Property related to the Robbery. Charges will be filed upon her return to Galax for two counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

After the arrest, Galax Officers obtained information from witnesses in Bluefield that lead them to a location on Millstone Rd. in Carroll County. Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputies and Galax Police took both juveniles into custody at that location and returned them to their families.

Evidence indicates that the teens left voluntarily and were unaware of that the robbery had occurred.

Galax Police appreciated the public’s assistance with tips leading to the safe conclusion of this event.

Prior to Monday evening, the teens were last seen by their parents and were reportedly going to watch a movie in Galax.

Investigation by the department revealed that the teens were at a Galax apartment complex around 8 p.m. Saturday night and were observed leaving with two Hispanic males and a white female.
