Zyvoloski was the top Carroll County varsity runner as she finished 10th out of 89 participants with a three-mile time of 21:12. Horton placed 18th with a run of 21:51. Cavalier teammates Lindsay Brumfield and Kasey Lunsford also performed well, with Brumfield (23:00) taking the 30th position and Lunsford (23:06) finishing 36th. Also competing for the Lady Cavaliers were Morgin Boyd (61st with a time of 24:58) and Kymbre Robinson (28:30).
In varsity boys' competition, Kendall Haynes led the way for Carroll County. He placed 30th out of 174 runners with a time of 18:02. Teammate Zach Cochran was 37th with a run of 18:12, while Tyler Barrett took the 54th spot in 19:06. Also competing for the Cavaliers were Tyler Krejci (80th, 19:54), Hunter Blessing (84th, 20:01), Austin Puckett (20:55), Drew Campbell (22:39), Evan Adams (24:11), Thomas Goad (24:59) and Josh Rasco (25:16).
Carroll County's Sophie Webb won the mixed middle school race, finishing the 1.8-mile course with a winning time of 12:46. She topped teammate Gracie Puckett by less than a second as Puckett finished second in 12:47.
Samuel Haynes and Sydney Haynes placed ninth and tenth, respectively, for the Cavaliers with times of 13:29 and 13:32. Carroll's Meaghan Phillips placed 20th in 15:01.
