Lura Bell Lindsey, 84, of Amelia, passed from this life on August 8, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband, E. Harold Lindsey and her son, Earl Harold Lindsey, and is survived by her daughter, Judy L. Marchese and husband Tom of Richmond; sons, Larry Stephen Lindsey and wife Brenda, Danny W. Lindsey and wife, Susan, both of Crewe; brother Connie Largen; sisters Betty Goad, Bonnie Dalton, all of Bassett, and Florence Goad of Hillsville; and six grandchildren, Tommy, Blanton Marchese, Keri and Mollie Lindsey, Christian and Carys Lindsey; great-grandchildren Landon, Ashby and Emerson Marchese, Morrigan, Maddison and Monnahan Marchese. Funeral services will be held noon on Wednesday at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court Street in Amelia with burial in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home was held Tuesday. Contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
