Carroll PSA to use $425,000 from utility projects to buy equipment

The Carroll County Public Service Authority (PSA) will use nearly $425,000 of leftover funds from five utilities projects to purchase new equipment, pending approval from federal funding agency Rural Development.The Carroll PSA unanimously voted during its October 13 meeting to send the plan to Rural Development for approval. If approved, the Authority will used leftover contingency funds to purchase a new excavator, a trailer, a service truck, a directional drill machine, a generator, a portable generator, a radio read system, more than 400 radio transmitters, and a trailer mounted jetter for a total cost of $448,115.65.
