Hillsville Harvest Nights being planned for each weekend in October

Two local businesswomen are hoping to provide a forum for community entertainment and non-profit fundraising with their plans for Hillsville Harvest Nights. The event, which will run five straight weekends beginning on Oct. 3, is the brainchild of Patti Ashley and Laura Beth Parnell.“The event will take place in the parking lot beside the old jail and is open to any non-profit organization,” said Ashley. “It will be a perfect event for churches, school groups, Boy Scouts and things like that.”Ashley added that the event could also benefit organizations such as food banks and those which provide clothing to the needy at Christmas.Interested groups do not have to commit to all five weekends.
