A Woodlawn man already on probation in Carroll County now faces rape and kidnapping charges in South Carolina after his arrest July 7.
According to police reports from the Myrtle Beach (S.C.) Police Department, Jeremiah Ryan Hill, 31, of Woodlawn, was arrested Saturday night in a Myrtle Beach hotel and charged with sex offense/forcible rape and kidnapping and abduction.
According to the incident report, Myrtle Beach Police officers responded to a disturbance at the hotel and “could tell right away the offender was highly intoxicated and could hardly speak.” The report also noted that a female victim had numerous bruises and small lacerations to her upper body and face. According to the report, the victim said Hill had kept her in the room against her will since the previous night and indicated that there was non-consensual sex.
Hill was being held in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on a $60,000 bond.
Hill was indicted by a Carroll County Grand Jury in June for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate the Drug Control Act. He is currently on probation for a felony possession of a firearm conviction.
