The 45th Annual VFW Labor Day Gun Show & Flea Market is officially underway as thousands upon thousands of visitors are currently invading the town of Hillsville and Carroll County.
Although early Friday and afternoon are traditionally two of the slowest times during the four-day event, hordes of people were already lining the streets to brave the hot temperatures, and traffic was becoming congested early and often the first day. As many as half a million people are expected to take in the annual holiday event this weekend as the Flea Market kicks into full gear.
