On May 10, members of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and the Twin County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence on Little Rock Road in Cana. The search resulted in the seizure of 1.5 pounds of methamphetamines, 3.6 ounces of cocaine, 1.7 ounces of “crack” cocaine, 13 firearms and more than $28,000 in cash, Sheriff J.B. Gardner said. The search also resulted in the arrest of one person, which has not been released because the investigation is ongoing, Gardner said.
As a continuing part of the same investigation, on the morning of May 13, Carroll County Sheriff’s Office deputies along with members of the Twin County Drug Task Force and agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration arrested another suspect. That person delivered three pounds of methamphetamines, 3/4 pound of cocaine, one pound of marijuana, one firearm and more than $6,600 in cash. Total value of the drugs seized is more than $111,000, Gardner said, adding that the investigation continues and more charges are expected.
