Spooks, monsters and other assorted creatures will once again rise from the darkness when the Carter Home Haunted House opens its door on Friday, Oct. 19. The haunted house will continue on Oct. 20, Oct. 26-27 and on Halloween, Oct. 31.
“This is one of our better fundraisers,” said Shirley Hill, of the Hale-Wilkinson-Carter Home Foundation. “Proceeds will be going for renovations, repairs and utilities. There’s so much repair that needs doing around here.”
The Interact Club at Carroll County High School is responsible for the decorations, as well as the dark denizens that will haunt the halls of the Carter Home on Main Street in Hillsville. Shannon Dalton sponsors the club and Brady Goad is the coordinating the mayhem.
The haunted house will be open from 6-10 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.
