Oakland "Think Pink" Day
Oakland Elementary School students recently held "Think Pink" Day at the school. The purpose of the event was to promote breast cancer awareness and raise money for the school's Carolyn's Kids fund. Carolyn's Kids was established after long time Oakland teacher Carolyn Peddy lost her battle with cancer. Carolyn was a beloved teacher who always put her students first. The fund is used to help students and their families in times of need. The contribute to the fund, contact the school at 236-3049.
