Jack Jessee, top trucker from the 2009 season of The History Channel’s “Ice Road Truckers,” will be making his first appearance back home since gaining the notoriety from the hit TV show.

Jessee will be the guest at a reception at Grover King VFW Post 1115 on Friday night, July 23 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Among the features at the reception include 40 to 50 pictures from Jessee’s route along the Dempster Highway, a photo opportunity, autograph session with fans, and time to catch up with the Woodlawn native.

There is no cost to attend, but donations are welcome to help defray the cost of photos and to go toward Jessee’s grandfather’s scholarship fund at Daytona Beach State College.

For more information, call Jim Jessee at 733-9838.
