Approximately 20 pounds of marijuana and three firearms were seized after a search at a Fancy Gap residence June 25.


According to Carroll County Sheriff J.B. Gardner, members of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and the Twin County Drug Task Force, acting on information received from the New River Valley Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant at 1934 Reedside Drive, in the Fancy Gap community on June 25.


Michael Flanigan, 52, and Martha Barnett, 60, both of Fancy Gap, were arrested for distribution of marijuana, Gardner said. Approximately 20 pounds of marijuana and three firearms were seized. Both Flanigan and Barnett were transported to the New River Valley Jail and held without bond.
