Benefits for Caviness, Reid set for Jan. 11

The Turman Sugar Tree Farm Auction is set for Saturday, Jan. 11, from 4-7 p.m., at the Turman Sports Complex in Willis. Proceeds from the auction will benefit Joe Reid and his family, who recently lost their home to fire. A hot dog meal will be available, and there will be singing by Holly South, The Comptons, Olen Gardiner and friends, and Paul Robinson and friends.


A benefit for Miles Caviness for medical needs will be held Saturday, January 11 at the Wytheville Moose Lodge from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.


Menu will consist of chili, pinto beans, cornbread and all the fixins! Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for kids 10 and under. There will also be singing by Jackson Ferry Few, as well as a yard sale, silent auction and 50/50 drawing. For more information call (276) 266-7397.
