RotoMetrics, Inc. has announced the decision to consolidate its North American Solid Die manufacturing process. This consolidation will affect approximately 90 employees at the RotoMetrics, Meadows of Dan facility. The production of Solid Dies will be consolidated to RotoMetrics’ Eureka, MO headquarters facility, where 85% of North American Solid Die production occurs today.
The consolidation of this segment of the business provides RotoMetrics the opportunity to capitalize on its substantial investment, capabilities and capacities for solid die manufacturing at its Eureka, MO facility.
The Meadows of Dan facility will remain RotoMetrics’ center of excellence for its Flex Die Manufacturing business, which is currently expanding with projected ongoing growth in this market segment. However, this decision will result in the idling of one of the two plants operating at the Meadows site.
“Although any reduction of employees is difficult to announce, we see this as a step in the right direction to allow RotoMetrics to continue to grow its business in the Flex Die market, and provide the Meadows facility the opportunity to focus on supporting that growth segment. RotoMetrics has recently invested significantly in the Flex Die business at Meadows and will continue that support into the future,” the company said in a press release. “We can assure you that we value the employees of the Meadows facility that have helped us through theses many years.”
All impacted employees – regardless of tenure- will receive severance payments, health-care continuation packages and outplacement assistance, as well as consideration for relocation to the Eureka facility for those interested in consideration.
The company said it will continue to work with its customers and suppliers to ensure that supply and service will continue at the highest level during this time of consolidation.
“Customers can be assured of our continued focus on quality and aggressive growth and innovation,” the company said in thepress release.
